Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and process cargo documentation accurately, including airway bills, manifests, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with regulations to facilitate seamless cargo movement.
  • Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs officials to arrange cargo shipments, track their progress, and resolve any operational issues promptly to maintain efficiency.
  • Handle cargo bookings and reservations, ensuring optimal space utilization and adherence to deadlines to maximize revenue and minimize delays.
  • Prepare and maintain cargo reports, including shipment status updates, discrepancies, and performance metrics, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, a degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Possess relevant certifications in cargo handling or dangerous goods regulations, demonstrating expertise.
  • Proven experience in the cargo or freight forwarding industry, showcasing practical knowledge.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a cargo assistant or similar role, highlighting familiarity with cargo operations.
