Cargo Controller - Container Terminals (WFH / Remote Service Contract) Abu Dhabi Terminals LLC

Responsible for the data input in TOS and maintenance of data quality for proper output by constant processing and verification of data received from the Shipping lines, agents and port community system. Makes all necessary changes in TOS data to ensure data integrity and use EDI to varying degrees.

1. Actively follow and promote the ADT Safety and Security policies and ensure that fellow employees and visitors are doing the same;
2. Propose and support initiatives for continuous improvement;
3. Post and check different type of EDIs into TOS, and ensure errors are cleaned and discrepancies solved for proper data handover for vessel planning;
4. Communicate with lines, agents, port community system representatives (Maqta)to ensure timely transmission of required data for cargo/vessel planning;
5. Address and follow up identified delays or issues during data transmission and EDI posting to all internal and external customers/stakeholders for proper solution/correction in time;
6. Report to line manager once delays, challenges, and/or issues are found;
7. Check discharge and load instructions (coprar) provided by lines/agents and raise found discrepancies to customers for proper correction of data to ensure data integrity for proper planning;
8. Manage the booking (coparn) updates as per EDI posting and eventual manual process as per business needs;
9. Raise new EDI mapping or configuration needs based on business requirement or issues identified;
10. Execute different type of manual entry or update of data in TOS once required, due to special procedures or requirements;
11. Post discharge and/or load list instructions (coprar) manually if required due to special requirements;
12. As an operational customer service approach, respond timely to internal and external customers’ and stakeholders inquires by phone and e-mails;
13. Make manual empty assignment of containers based on customer request and terminal operations and terminal guidelines and strategies;
14. Ensure timely completion of all data input process handing over for vessel panning & operations to begin as required and schedule;
15. Maintain proper management of received data files on department shared folder;
16. Prepare, maintain and share the check list of executed cargo planning & data input/output activities to line manager and other internal team;
17. Elaborate proper handover to incoming staff and any other report (on demand) requested by management;
18. Check and correct vessel statistics in TOS if required and send TDR/PBA reports internally;
