The Cargo Operations Agent plays a vital role in the efficient handling and transportation of air cargo. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring compliance with all aviation safety regulations, and coordinating with various departments to optimize cargo movement. This role demands excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. As a Cargo Operations Agent, you will be an integral part of our operations team, working collaboratively to ensure that all cargo is processed swiftly and safely from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the ground team for efficient cargo loading and unloading processes.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations at all times.
• Prepare and process cargo documentation, including airway bills and manifests.
• Communicate effectively with airline personnel to resolve any issues with shipments.
• Perform inventory management to track shipments accurately and prevent loss.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Utilize cargo management systems to track the status and location of consignments.
• Ensure all cargo is correctly labeled and that shipping details are accurate.
• Assist in training new staff on standard operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Facilitate the seamless exchange of cargo information between internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of operational reports to management.
• Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Experience in cargo operations or a similar logistics role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of aviation safety and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
• Proficient in the use of cargo management software and database systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
