Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, debit, and electronic payments accurately.
- Scan and total items purchased, apply discounts or promotions when applicable.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints or direct them to supervisors.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and transactions.
- Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors about low stock or discrepancies.
- Uphold safety and security measures to prevent theft or fraud.
