Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit, debit, and electronic payments accurately.
  • Scan and total items purchased, apply discounts or promotions when applicable.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve minor complaints or direct them to supervisors.
  • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and transactions.
  • Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors about low stock or discrepancies.
  • Uphold safety and security measures to prevent theft or fraud.
