Job Description
This position performs general office duties respective to the supported group, such as data manipulation, planning, package handling, shipping, auditing, inventory, customer support, operations support, etc. He/She performs other tasks as requested.
Job Summary
The Center Clerk is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of packages and shipments from preparation to delivery. This role involves critical data management, problem resolution, and coordination with various teams and third-party partners. The primary goal is to maintain data accuracy and resolve issues to ensure timely and correct deliveries.
Required Skills And Qualification
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and management. Familiarity with logistics management systems (LMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of Power BI will be advantage.
- Attention to detail is crucial for accurate data entry, verification, and problem-solving.
- The ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to shipments, addresses, and customer inquiries is a core competency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact effectively with customers, drivers, and third-party logistics partners.
- A high school diploma or degree is required. Certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Shipment and Data Management:
- Perform accurate and timely data entry, including updating shipment IDs, weights, and other critical shipment details in logistics systems.
- Maintain and update various reports related to shipment status, volume, and customer information.
- Verify data for accuracy and perform quality checks on manually entered information.
- Process and manage packages, ensuring they are correctly sorted and prepared for loading.
- Problem Resolution and Communication:
- Investigate and resolve issues related to undeliverable or misaddressed packages by reviewing customer information and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Communicate with customers to resolve delivery issues, update them on shipment status, and collect necessary information.
- Handle return merchandise authorization (RMA) processes, including coordinating collections and updating shipment details.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and external logistics partners regarding shipment status and operational issues.
- Operational Support:
- Coordinate as a third-party logistics (3PL) providers for outbound collections and vehicle arrangements.
- Assist with the inbounding and packing of 3PL shipments.
- Provide daily or weekly updates on shipment volumes and operational status to the team.
