Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Measuring and marking: Measuring and marking surfaces to be tiled

  • Preparing surfaces: Preparing surfaces for tiling by cleaning and applying waterproofing material or lath
  • Cutting and shaping: Cutting and shaping tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight spaces
  • Forming tile beds: Forming tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar
  • Aligning and straightening: Aligning and straightening tiles to ensure patterns are even and precise
  • Installing and anchoring: Installing and anchoring fixtures in designated positions
  • Mixing and applying: Mixing, applying, and spreading adhesive to apply, seal, and finish tile
  • Creating designs: Creating decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles
