Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a CGI Artist, you will transform 2D blueprints, CAD files, and hand sketches into photo-realistic 3D renderings and animations.

You will work closely with architects and interior designers to communicate their vision to clients, developers, and marketing agencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 3D Modeling: Build highly detailed 3D models of buildings, interiors, and landscapes using industry-standard software.
  • Texturing & Shading: Create and apply realistic materials (PBR workflows), ensuring accurate reflection, refraction, and surface detail.
  • Lighting & Composition: Set up virtual lighting (natural, artificial, and HDRI) to evoke specific moods and highlight architectural features.
  • Asset Integration: Populate scenes with high-quality 3D assets (furniture, vegetation, people) to provide scale and "lived-in" realism.
  • Post-Production: Use Photoshop or After Effects to color-grade renders, add atmospheric effects (fog, lens flare), and composite real-world elements.
  • Optimization: Manage complex scenes to ensure efficient render times without sacrificing quality.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

The "standard" stack usually includes a combination of the following:

3Ds max, AutoCad 3D, Vray, Unreal engine and upcoming AI tools

Desired Candidate Profile

An "Architectural Eye": A deep understanding of scale, proportion, and how light interacts with physical spaces.

Photographic Sensibility: Knowledge of focal lengths, depth of field, and the "Rule of Thirds."

Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines, especially during the "crunch" periods of design competitions.

Portfolio: A strong reel or portfolio demonstrating high-end interior and exterior visualizations.
