Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead our Outpatient Department (OPD) team with dedication and an unwavering commitment to patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills, ensuring high-quality care and efficient operations within the OPD. As a Charge Nurse, you will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the OPD staff, manage patient flow, and oversee clinical procedures, all while maintaining adherence to healthcare regulations and standards. Your exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to the role. Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support nursing staff in the Outpatient Department effectively.
- Coordinate patient care services, ensuring efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain patient care standards to optimize healthcare delivery.
- Oversee scheduling of staff and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, manage, and assess patient treatments.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and applicable healthcare laws.
- Address patient and staff inquiries promptly, providing guidance and resolving issues.
- Document and report any adverse incidents or errors following established protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care protocols.
- Facilitate ongoing staff training and development to maintain a high level of competency.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active nursing license.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Previous leadership or management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Capable of multitasking and coordinating in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records.
