Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chef De Cuisine to join our culinary team in Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. As the Chef De Cuisine, you will lead our main kitchen operations, create innovative menus, and ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence in our establishment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement creative, seasonally-inspired menus that showcase both international and local cuisines
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of culinary professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative kitchen environment
- Manage inventory, food costs, and budgeting to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain impeccable hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests
- Stay current with culinary trends and techniques, continuously innovating to keep our menu fresh and exciting
- Participate in menu engineering, recipe development, and food presentation enhancements
- Collaborate with local suppliers to source high-quality, seasonal ingredients
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and attentiveness
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 3 years' experience as Chef de Cuisine in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification from a recognized institution
- Proven expertise in international cuisines, with a strong understanding of local UAE and Middle Eastern flavors
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and developing kitchen teams
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, seasonal sourcing, and global food trends
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
- Current food safety certification
- Creative mindset balanced with a disciplined approach to maintaining consistency and quality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for culinary innovation and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
