Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform the transition from US GAAP to local accounting standards, including data uploads, checks, and reconciliations in the local accounting system.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of the monthly closing process.
  • Lead and coordinate monthly P&L review and analysis including acting as primary liaison with the General Ledger team, preparing and updating necessary files, and ensuring a thorough review until final result confirmation..
  • Prepare documentation for statutory audits and support auditors throughout the process until the final report.
  • Draft the activity report, management report, and minutes of the board of directors and general assembly meetings.

Costing & Taxation

  • Prepare product costing and cost rollups.
  • Prepare the tax return package (Liasse Fiscale).
  • Monitor the processing of board attendance fees and dividend transfers.

Governance & Compliance

  • Organise board meetings and prepare all related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements, including data privacy, IT operating authorisations, and environmental taxes.

HR & Payroll

  • Manage HR-related matters in coordination with the Regional HR manager.
  • Prepare payroll, including all necessary verification.
  • Prepare payroll account reconciliations in Blackline.
  • Develop the salary budget and manage annual salary increases.

IT & Systems Oversight

  • Oversee IT-related matters in collaboration with the group and local vendors.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in accounting and payroll management in multinational companies

Languages

  • Fluent verbal and written communications skills in Arabic, French and English

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Familiarity with accounting/ ERP software

Knowledge and Skills

  • Mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and US GAAP
  • Strong understanding of Payroll processing and reconciliation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
