Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and comprehensive chemistry lessons to Grade 11 students in accordance with the school s curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and laboratory activities that foster scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and laboratory work.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
Incorporate technology and modern teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide timely feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents and guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and participate in departmental meetings.
Supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
Support students in preparing for standardized exams and external assessments.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching experience in chemistry at the secondary or high school level.
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective chemistry instruction to Grade 11 students.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to design and implement laboratory experiments safely.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Flexibility to work full-time, on-site, and adapt to the school s schedule.
