The school utilizes the American Curriculum (including pathways for AP or honors Chemistry) and is dedicated to providing students with rigorous scientific instruction, emphasizing laboratory techniques, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons across appropriate High School grade levels, including General, Honors, and potentially Advanced Placement (AP) Chemistry, aligned with American Curriculum standards.

  • Plan and conduct stimulating inquiry-based laboratory experiments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the science lab.

  • Teach core concepts including chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and atomic structure.

  • Assess student understanding through a variety of methods and provide targeted, constructive feedback.

  • Maintain excellent classroom management and foster a collaborative and secure learning environment.

  • Contribute to the Science Department's ongoing curriculum review and resource development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree (Master's preferred) in Chemistry or a closely related Physical Science field.

  • Recognised teaching qualification or official teaching license from the US, Canada, or an equivalent body.

  • Essential: Proven, significant experience teaching Chemistry within the American Curriculum framework.

  • Strong knowledge of practical laboratory techniques and safety procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex chemical concepts for students.
