Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting, costing, and financial reporting activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of reports.

  • Manage and review the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations to maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensure proper reconciliation of balances, and improve cash collection and payment cycles.
  • Monitor and maintain fixed assets registers, calculate depreciation, conduct periodic physical counts, and ensure adherence to company asset policies.
  • Prepare and analyze project costing reports, monitor variances between actual and budgeted costs, and recommend cost-efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement accurate cost allocation methodologies across departments and projects to support profitability analysis.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Deliver management reports and financial performance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, allocate tasks, enhance staff capabilities, and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, within Construction or Developments field is a must
  • Minimum of 3 years as Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
