Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances against budget/forecast.
  • Support Financial Manager with financial data for strategic decisions.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and cost accounting functions.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget implementation and highlight deviations.
  • Compliance & Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labor laws, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place and regularly reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the accounting team; assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide training.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing modules, and data reporting tools Oracle knowledge is mandatory.
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required). Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role at manufacturing or chemical production environment.
