Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


1.Manage A/P & A/R

2.Applies principle of accounting

3.Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy and efficiency

4.Oversight of statutory and regulatory reporting

5.Management of chart of accounts

6.Accounting standards & compliance

7.Tax planning and compliance

8.Contract administration & compliance

9.Oversight of centralized transaction processing

10.Verification/analysis of vendor balances

11.Oversight of timely revenue accounting

12.Control & review Petty Cash payments & records


Tasks & Duties


1.Ensure that accounting departments properly maintains all accounting systems, files and functions

2.Administer and assist the eligibility, payment, and record keeping processes for suppliers and customers

3.Review and Ensure all cash payments are properly approved as per Petty Cash policy for cash payments and ensure that vouchers are having the proper supporting documents

4.Ensure and assist all material receipts/services rendered are booked in the Company s accounting system in a timely and accurate manner

5.Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system

6.Ensure all files of accounting records, backups and supporting documents in a secure and appropriate environment and saved in electronic copies

7.Ensure all supporting documents are saved in electronic copies

8.Adheres to internal and external deadlines.

9.Applies cost accounting methods to achieve accurate representation of cost center performance.

10.Coordinate & Review all month-end closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, balances reconciliations and overhead allocation.

11.Enhance and implement accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.

12.Serve as focal point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payables issues

13.Ensure preparation and support all external and internal audits.

14.Responsible for all taxes obligations and VAT refunds, proper and timeliness declarations and filling

15.Responsible on creation of cost centers related to projects in the accounting system

16.Examine costs. Allocation of costs cost centers/profit centers and Projects to determine requirements to improve the service, quality, expense management, and efficiency

17.Assist other managers with the preparation of departmental budgets, identification of financial reporting requirements, and development of standard divisional financial reports

18.Support the Company s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities

19.Review clients contracts and document significant terms and conclusions

20.Prepare and maintain clients' documentations, contracts and supplement legal documents

21.Maintain system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets

22.Responsible on accruals, depreciations and provisions

23.Ensure all day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department are done in accurate and timely manner.

24.Ensure all tax declaration are done and submitted on time in an accurate manner.



Education and Experience


-A Bachelor s degree or a technical degree in Accounting or finance with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience

-Minimum of 3 years experience in similar position or in higher accounting managerial position with work related experience that consist of an in-depth background in finance, accounting, risk management and supervisory skills

-Ability to speak, read and write English and Arabic fluently

-Advanced knowledge of related Governmental finance, accounting and tax regulations, policies and procedures.

-Very good skills in computer operation, word processing and spreadsheet software

-Demonstrated team building experience

-Ability to interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

-Knowledge of ERP System.
