Chief Accountant

Client of Linked4HR 

Our client, an international manufacturing company, is seeking a strong>Chief Accountant (Chef Comptable)/strong> with 8-10 years of experience in accounting and financial management within the industrial or manufacturing sector. This role requires strong technical expertise in Moroccan accounting standards and the ability to lead and supervise a small accounting team to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Moroccan accounting standards.

• Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and external financial partners.

• Oversee tax declarations and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Provide financial insights and reports to the Finance Director to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification preferred.

• 8-10 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial company.

• Strong knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

• Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive with excellent organizational skills.

• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
