Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations.
Manage the accounting and finance team to ensure efficient operations.
Monitor and analyse financial data to support business decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including timely filings.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
A successful Chief Accountant should have:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Certifications
- Active CPA is mandatory.
- Additional certifications (CFE, CMA) are highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Experience in high-volume transaction environments or operationally complex companies.
- Prior experience in public accounting (Big Four preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
