Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic vision & corporate leadership

  • Lead the development and implementation of SCT s vision, mission, and corporate culture, ensuring these are clearly communicated and embedded across all divisions and verticals.
  • Formulate and drive the execution of the company's long-term strategy and corporate business plans, ensuring sustainable growth and maximising return on investment for shareholders.
  • Translate shareholder perspectives and board directives into coherent operational and commercial business plans.
  • Champion innovation and identify opportunities to evolve portfolio in line with emerging satellite technologies and market dynamics
  • Represent SCT at the highest levels with government bodies, regulators, industry forums, and strategic partners in Oman and internationally.

Business development & revenue growth

  • Set and drive the overall revenue strategy across SCT s target verticals (oil & gas, maritime, telecom, defense, and remote enterprise etc) ensuring order intake, revenue, and margin targets are consistently achieved.
  • Work closely with leadership team to identify, qualify, and pursue high value business opportunities and new revenue streams.
  • Oversee the development of a healthy, well qualified sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and rigorous commercial discipline.
  • Ensure pricing discipline and cost-awareness are embedded across all commercial activities to protect and grow profitability.
  • Lead or support key strategic bids, partnerships, and contract negotiations at an executive level.
  • Drive the company's participation in RFI/RFQ s, and major tender processes, ensuring competitive, compliant, and compelling submissions wherever required.

Financial governance & performance management

  • Set and agree annual budgets for each vertical and supporting division in alignment with the board-approved corporate plan.
  • Ensure the integrity of operational and financial reporting systems, providing the board with accurate and timely information.
  • Monitor business performance metrics to evaluate profitability across all verticals and divisions; ensure variances to plan are examined in detail and corrective action is taken promptly.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate business plans, annual budgets, capital expenditure reports, and monthly and quarterly management reports.
  • Ensure each vertical and division manages its resources in accordance with budget guidelines to achieve profitability targets.
  • Support collections, manage commercial disputes where required, and maintain strong financial controls throughout the business.

Client relationship management & market positioning

  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and strategic accounts especially in the defense and govt entities.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction, long-term contract renewals, and the expansion of existing account relationships.
  • Conduct strategic client engagement and account reviews at the executive level

Operational excellence & cross-functional collaboration

  • Ensure the seamless transition from sales to service delivery and project implementation across all verticals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in company performance through process enhancements, technology upgrades, cost reduction initiatives, and better utilisation of assets including human resources.
  • Oversee cross-functional coordination between commercial, technical and support teams to ensure cohesive business delivery.

Leadership & people management

  • Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the senior management team in line with best practice people management and executive leadership standards.
  • Establish a culture of robust performance management; set clear objectives for division heads and general managers and provide the support and accountability necessary to achieve them.
  • Champion talent development, career growth, and succession planning to ensure SCT retains and nurtures its key people.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance organisational culture aligned with alues and the board's expectations.

Compliance, governance & risk management

  • Ensure functions operate in full compliance with the board's policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in Oman and across international markets.
  • Maintain robust corporate governance standards, ensuring full transparency and accountability to the board of directors.
  • Ensure adherence to telecom licensing, satellite regulatory, and sector specific compliance requirements.
  • Maintain documentation to support internal controls, external audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Uphold and enforce policies on ethics, anti-bribery, data protection, and responsible business conduct throughout the organisation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the satellite communications, telecom, or ICT solutions sector, with at least 5 years in a senior executive or CEO-level role.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi vertical organisations and delivering sustained commercial growth and profitability.
  • Deep understanding of satellite technologies including VSAT, HTS, LEO/MEO/GEO constellations, bandwidth management, and managed services.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale commercial contracts, major bids, and strategic partnerships at an executive level.
  • Strong familiarity with the Omani regulatory environment, telecom licensing frameworks, and GCC regional markets.
