Roles & Responsibilities

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the company s investment and business growth strategy to achieve long-term value creation.
  • Translate strategic goals into operational investment plans and measurable performance targets.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of the investment portfolio performance and ensure alignment with the company s overall strategic priorities.

Investment Management

  • Identify and evaluate strategic investment opportunities (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures).
  • Review and approve business cases, feasibility studies, and financial analyses prepared by the Director of Strategy and Investments.
  • Ensure thorough due diligence and risk assessments are conducted prior to major investment decisions.
  • Guide negotiations and finalize key investment agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and shareholder interests.

Financial Oversight

  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial models and economic forecasts for potential investment projects.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board on investment returns, risks, and capital allocation.
  • Ensure regular monitoring and reporting of financial and operational performance of invested entities.

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the investment and strategy teams, including the Director of Strategy and Investments, Business Financial Analyst, and Lead Assets Management.
  • Foster collaboration among analysts, technical specialists, and innovation teams to ensure efficient execution of projects.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and performance excellence across the investment function.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, investors, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners.
  • Represent Atyab in negotiations, board meetings of subsidiaries, and high-level investment forums.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board on strategic initiatives, financial results, and emerging opportunities.

Desired Candidate Profile

The Chief Investments Officer will lead the formulation and execution of the company s investment and growth strategies in alignment with Atyab Group s strategic direction and overall business objectives. The role will ensure optimal management of investment portfolios, identify new business opportunities, and oversee strategic projects, acquisitions, divestitures, and asset optimization to drive sustainable value creation for the Group.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Investments and Finance, Economy.
  • MBA Preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of senior-level experience in investment or finance roles within Oman and the wider regional food industry.
  • Robust financial background with hands-on leadership in developing, executing, and supporting comprehensive financial planning activities.
  • Progressive experience across core finance functions, including banking, corporate finance, and financial operations mandatory for the role.
  • Strong capability in strategic planning, translating long-term business goals into actionable investment and growth strategies.
  • Deep experience in investment reporting and performance monitoring, ensuring continuous evaluation of returns and risks.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, enabling data-driven recommendations for major investment decisions.
