Our client is a leading company in the funeral services industry based in Egypt and is recognized for its commitment to innovation and compassionate service. They are seeking an exceptional Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join their executive team and play a pivotal role in building and scaling operations. This role reports directly to the CEO and requires a strategic leader capable of driving excellence across people, processes, data, and systems.
- Lead and oversee all operational functions across the organization, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational strategies, processes, and workflows.
- Partner closely with the CEO to define and execute the company's operational vision.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across operations, product, marketing, and finance teams.
- Identify operational challenges and implement scalable, structured solutions.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes across the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong data infrastructure to support decision-making.
- Define and monitor KPIs, providing regular performance reports and insights to leadership.
- Design and implement systems for quality assurance, customer experience, and operational scalability.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, risk management practices, and operational standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
- Collaborate on budgeting, financial planning, and cost optimization strategies.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, and resource allocation across departments.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university (MBA or Master's degree is a strong plus)
Experience: 8 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, strategy, or a related field, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment
