Chief Rig Mechanic Drilling & Workover

Lead all mechanical maintenance activities on the drilling rig, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency

• Supervise, coach, and develop the rig mechanical crew
• Oversee inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of rig equipment (drawworks, mud pumps, engines, compressors, and auxiliary systems)
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and industry best practices
• Coordinate with drilling and operations teams to support uninterrupted rig performance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Chief Rig Mechanic or Senior Rig Mechanic on drilling rigs
• Strong expertise in rig mechanical systems and preventive maintenance programs
• Demonstrated leadership capability in managing multicultural teams
• Solid understanding of HSE regulations within drilling environments
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
