Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a Director of Regulatory Affairs for their client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is a leading biomedical and clinical research institute offering end-to-end medicine development.We are looking for a western trained, native Arabic speaking Chief Scientific Officer with a minimum of 20 years of experience out of which at least 8 should be in a senior leadership role within a multinational R&D pharmaceutical facility and must have a thorough understanding of the SFDA's regulations and guidelines, particularly those related to drug registration, pharmacovigilance, and marketing practices.The CSO will ensure that all scientific activities, including product development, manufacturing, and marketing, comply with the regulations set by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and other relevant international bodies.You will collaborate with other departments within the company, such as marketing, sales, and manufacturing, as well as with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, research institutions, and industry partners.Protect the company's intellectual property, including patents and trade secrets.Manage the scientific budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.Manage all R&D activities, including drug discovery, preclinical studies, clinical trials, and the development of new products.Monitor and report on the progress of scientific projects, ensuring they stay on track and meet their objectives.Establish and maintain a quality management system for the company's scientific operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.Oversees the company's pharmacovigilance system, ensuring the monitoring, reporting, and management of adverse drug reactions and other safety-related issues.Lead and manage scientific and technical teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.Lead initiatives to promote the development of Saudi scientific talent and ensure compliance with Saudi nationalization policies.Define and execute the company's scientific vision, ensuring it aligns with the company's mission, values, and strategic goals.

Salary : SAR 65,000 per month plus family benefits (Salary mentioned on the advertisement is an indicative figure.The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and is decided post completion of interviews).
