Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in proper food handling and storage procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with the chef and other department heads to plan and execute special events and functions, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for dishwashing, equipment maintenance, and cleaning schedules to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage the budget for the stewarding department, including labor costs and supply expenses, and provide regular reports to the management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in stewarding and implement innovative ideas to enhance operations.
  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries related to stewarding services promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and providing guidance and support to the stewarding team.
