Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Cinematography & Audiovisual Production, including but not limited to:
    • Audiovisual Production
    • Cinematography
    • Test Image and Sound
    • Multiplatform Storytelling
    • Art & Business of Gaming
    • Digital Imaging
  • Develop and update course syllabi and materials to reflect industry trends and academic advancements.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career development.
  • Supervise undergraduate projects and internships.

Research & Scholarship:

  • Conduct and publish high-quality research in Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or related fields.
  • Seek external research funding and engage in interdisciplinary projects.
  • Present research at academic and industry conferences.

Service & Industry Engagement:

  • Participate in departmental and university service, including curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Engage with the industry to strengthen partnerships, facilitate student internships, and develop real-world learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to community outreach and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A PhD in Communications, Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Prior university-level teaching experience preferred.
  • A strong record of peer-reviewed research publications.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Industry experience in advertising, marketing communications, or public relations.
  • Proficiency in digital and emerging media strategies for advertising.
  • Experience with experiential learning methodologies and student mentorship.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
