Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Verifying the doctors orders.
  • Checking the validity of the intravenous admixtures.
  • Labeling the final compounded products with full instructions including the beyond use date and Checking the compatibilities of the requested medications.
  • Insuring the medications safety till the delivery to the patients.
  • Monitoring the intravenous medications administration process.
  • Verifying the pediatric patient s medications dosing according to the guidelines.
  • Using online resources and guidelines during the daily work flow
  • Updating the intravenous medications data base in accordance with the international databases.
  • Checking the patient lab result on daily basis
  • Reviewing the patient fluid balance
  • Calculating the patient caloric needs based on the anthropometric data, stress factors and activity factors.
  • Adjusting the patient electrolytes needs on daily basis.
  • Monitoring the patient progress till shifting to enteral or oral routes.

  • Bachelor s in pharmacy.
  • Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
  • Experience in IV admixture compounding, preferably within a hospital setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
