Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and detailed 3D models and shop drawings for wet utilities including potable water, stormwater, sewer, irrigation, and associated infrastructure using Civil 3D.
  • Generate plan and profile drawings, cross-sections, trench details, and composite utility layouts.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks, collaborating with other utility and civil disciplines to resolve conflicts.
  • Work across different Levels of Development (LOD 200 to 400), ensuring models meet project and authority standards.
  • Interpret and integrate topographic surveys, utility data, and civil design inputs.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and BIM teams for multi-disciplinary model integration and issue resolution.
  • Maintain drawing standards, manage layer control, and adhere to company BIM protocols and QA/QC processes.
  • Support in preparing as-built documentation and handover packages.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Qualifications;

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in modeling and drafting wet utilities for infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC region.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD is required.
  • Demonstrated experience producing shop drawings and construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of utility installation practices, trenching, and pipe network standards.
  • Experience working with models at different LOD stages (concept to as-built).
  • Excellent skills in clash detection, coordination, and issue resolution processes.
  • Familiarity with local municipal and utility authority requirements in the GCC.
