Civil 3D Modeler (Dry Utilities)

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for dry utility systems including electrical power distribution networks, telecom/data, security, street lighting, traffic lighting, pump stations, conduit networks, and district cooling pipelines.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for infrastructure modelling and design development of dry utility systems.
• Ensure models meet project-specific Level of Development (LOD) requirements at all design stages.
• Model underground conduit routing, duct banks, and service connection points.
• Coordinate dry utility layouts with road, wet utility, landscape and structural models to ensure clash-free design.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Coordinate with internal teams (MEP, Roads, Landscape, Wet Utilities) to resolve conflicts between utilities and other disciplines.
• Participate in coordination meetings and model reviews.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards such as ISO 19650 and project-specific protocols.
• Apply correct naming conventions, layering, and file structures across all model files.
• Align models with Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi authority and UAE requirements etc.
• Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all models.
• Generate utility layout plans, duct bank profiles, BOQs from BIM models.
• Prepare dry utility coordination drawings for submission to authorities.
• Extract 2D drawings, plans, profiles, and cross-sections from BIM models.
• Support quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for infrastructure works.
• Prepare and update as-built models for project closeout.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure version control and proper coordination across multiple project files.
• Support digital workflows within the Design 360 Studio.

Skills/strong>

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Navisworks.
• Experience in dry utility coordination including electrical, telecom, security, street lighting, traffic lighting, pumpstations and district cooling systems.
• Understanding of authorities design standards and submission requirements.
• Ability to develop and manage BIM models to LOD 300/350/400 standards.
• Clash detection and resolution across multi-discipline models.
• Familiarity with BIM collaboration platforms (BIM 360, ACC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM standards and project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
