Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work.
- Perform quantity take-offs for earthworks, grading, and excavation activities.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to prepare detailed estimates.
- Develop bid proposals and submit competitive tenders in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities.
- Maintain and update cost databases, historical project records, and estimating tools.
- Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as required.
- Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and market conditions.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Basic Civil Engineering Knowledge: A foundational understanding of civil engineering plans and concepts is highly desirable.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and master proprietary software.
- Communication: Excellent English language skills for clear communication with clients and team members.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to manage your workload independently.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
