Duties and Responsibilities Project Planning and Design Prepare and review civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and calculations. Develop site grading, drainage, roads, foundations, and structural layouts. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, piping, and process engineering teams. Review contractor designs and engineering deliverables. Construction Management Supervise civil construction activities on site. Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project schedules. Inspect excavation, concrete, steel structures, paving, and foundation works. Verify that construction follows approved drawings, specifications, and procedures. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications. Review material test reports and inspection records. Conduct site inspections and witness testing activities. Address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Ensure all civil works comply with safety regulations and company HSE policies. Participate in risk assessments and toolbox meetings. Promote safe work practices on construction sites. Identify and mitigate construction hazards. Contract and Cost Control Review contractor invoices and progress claims. Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets. Evaluate variation orders and change requests. Monitor material quantities and project expenditures. Coordination and Communication Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Attend project meetings and provide technical support. Prepare engineering reports, progress reports, and technical documentation. Site Investigation and Survey Review geotechnical reports and soil investigations. Verify survey data and site measurements. Assess site conditions affecting construction activities.
