A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as roads, buildings, bridges, dams, and utilities. They ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and interpret engineering designs, plans, and drawings.
Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
Ensure construction work complies with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Supervise site activities and coordinate with contractors, architects, and other engineers.
Monitor project progress and prepare reports on timelines, budgets, and quality.
Estimate quantities, costs, and resources for labor, materials, and equipment.
Use civil engineering software like AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Revit, etc.
Solve design and construction issues as they arise on-site.
Ensure proper documentation and quality control during project execution.
Liaise with government authorities for approvals and inspections.
