Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Manage and coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems design, installation, and commissioning, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess project requirements, site conditions, and potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using CAD software and other relevant tools.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and material selections, ensuring adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any design or construction issues.
- Monitor project progress, track budgets, and manage change orders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Perform quality control inspections and testing to verify compliance with specifications and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and building codes to enhance design solutions and project outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is required.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil or MEP engineering, with a focus on building design and construction.
- Proven experience in designing and managing complex projects, including infrastructure, commercial, or residential developments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software for design and analysis.
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve design and construction issues.
- Experience in the Middle East or GCC region is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
