Roles & Responsibilities

Main tasks:

Responsible for coordinating the work of one or more teams in a civil engineering project (masonry, tunnel construction, dams, maritime works, etc...).

Assignments (tasks and responsibilities):

To take into account and communicate to one's hierarchy any risk that could compromise the exercise of one's activity, and to implement the appropriate actions in accordance with the guidelines.
Consult the plans for a project to carry out the work.
Prepare the project site, install safety barriers, signage and lighting if necessary.
Assess the needs in terms of personnel, equipment and materials.
To ensure the day-to-day general organization of a project or a part of it according to its importance.
Organize the teams, distribute and coordinate the various tasks and monitor the different deliverables.
To ensure responsibility on site for the proper execution of the work, in compliance with the objectives set with the site manager.
Control and coordinate the work of the teams and keep the work progress schedules up to date.
Monitor the progress of the work and its execution.
Enforce safety measures on the project and in the surrounding area.
Ensure the rational use of equipment and materials and their maintenance.
Assist the surveyors during the surveys.
To monitor the attendance of team members.

Regarding QHSE:

Respect and enforce the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company and the Project.
Ensure the application of the procedures and rules dictated within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
Contributes to raising awareness among workers regarding occupational risk prevention and environmental issues.
Suggest improvements deemed useful, particularly concerning working methods and processes, the choice of materials and the adaptation of equipment.
Ensure the provision and wearing of appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE).
Raise awareness among his team about the risk-based approach.
Capitalizes on all feedback, communicates to its hierarchy the need to review the planned arrangements and shares with its collaborators the knowledge acquired or modified.
