Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project

requirements.

  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for:

o Civil works

o Interior fit-out works

o Finishes

o Joinery works

o Ceiling works

o Flooring works

o Partition works

o External works

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including:

o Materials

o Labor

o Equipment

o Subcontractor costs

o Overheads and contingencies

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing for

compliance with project requirements.

  • Analyze project risks, site conditions, and technical requirements affecting project costs.

  • Coordinate with:

o Project managers

o Engineers

o Draftsmen

o Procurement team

o Suppliers and subcontractors

  • Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and pricing breakdowns

within project deadlines.

  • Verify drawing details and identify discrepancies, missing information, and

scope gaps during tender stage.

  • Assist in value engineering and cost optimization proposals.

  • Prepare variations, additional work costing, and revised estimates during project

execution.

  • Maintain updated cost databases, supplier records, and historical pricing

information.

  • Ensure estimates comply with company standards, project specifications, and

client requirements.

  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings when required.

  • Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost analysis.

  • Coordinate with procurement team for material comparisons and cost-effective

solutions.

  • Ensure confidentiality of all pricing, tender, and commercial information.

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of:

o Civil construction

o Interior fit-out works

o Joinery and finishing materials

o Construction methods and sequencing

  • Proficient in:

o MS Excel

o AutoCAD

o Estimation software (preferred)

  • Ability to read and interpret:

o Architectural drawings

o Structural drawings

o MEP drawings

o Specifications and BOQs

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Knowledge of UAE market rates and authority requirements is preferred.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying,

    Construction Management, or related field.

    • Minimum ___ years of experience in civil and interior fit-out estimation.

    • Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail fit-out projects is

    preferred.
