Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day civil and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements
- Inspect materials and workmanship to verify adherence to project standards, specifications, and applicable codes
- Carry out routine and hold-point inspections for infrastructure activities including excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement works, concrete works, utilities, manholes, chambers, and duct banks
- Witness and review field and laboratory tests such as soil compaction, concrete testing, asphalt testing, and material compliance checks
- Verify contractor compliance with approved inspection and test plans, method statements, and checklists
- Prepare inspection requests, site inspection reports, daily logs, and non-conformance reports as required
- Maintain accurate and systematic records of inspections, tests, work progress, and site communications
- Assist the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer with progress reporting and technical inputs
- Review civil and infrastructure drawings and confirm site works align with the latest approved revisions
- Report site or design issues promptly and support resolution of contractor technical queries
- Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage construction interfaces effectively
- Monitor contractor quality control practices and report deficiencies to the RE or ARE
- Support project quality plans, NCR reviews, and corrective action processes
- Promote safe working practices and coordinate with HSE teams on site safety matters
- Support site visits by clients, authorities, and stakeholders by providing factual site information and records
- Ensure roads and utilities works comply with local authority standards and requirements

Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Minimum five years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities
- Previous experience working with a consultancy is required
- Strong knowledge of consultant-side site supervision procedures and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret infrastructure drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Familiarity with local authority requirements for roads and utilities
- Experience preparing inspection reports, daily records, and maintaining structured documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, site-based, multidisciplinary environment
