Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) tailored to project specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring all construction activities adhere to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of civil works, including earthworks, concrete structures, and infrastructure components, to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry best practices.
  • Manage and oversee the testing of construction materials (concrete, aggregates, etc.) through accredited laboratories, evaluating results and ensuring materials meet the required quality criteria.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans, to track and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurring issues, fostering a proactive quality culture.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and other project submittals to ensure they align with quality requirements and project specifications before construction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in construction principles and practices.
  • Holds relevant professional certifications such as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar, demonstrating a commitment to quality management.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction QA/QC, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
  • Shows experience in the Middle East or similar international construction environments is advantageous, providing cultural adaptability.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality control procedures, ensuring technical proficiency.
  • Possesses fluency in English, both written and spoken, and potentially other languages, facilitating effective communication.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using quality management software and tools, enhancing efficiency in documentation and reporting.
