Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of civil works.
  • Monitor project budgets, track variations, and provide timely cost reports to project management.
  • Evaluate and process contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Conduct site visits to verify completed work and assess progress against project milestones.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize resource allocation.
  • Support the preparation of tender documents and participate in bid evaluations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project quantities, costs, and correspondence for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all surveying activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in wastewater or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project demands.
