Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Execution & Supervision:
    Oversee all site activities to ensure construction works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Planning & Coordination:
    Coordinate between project management, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure timely progress and smooth workflow.
  • Quality Control:
    Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, materials specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Site Management:
    Manage manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to optimize productivity and control project costs.
  • Technical Review:
    Review structural and architectural drawings, identify discrepancies, and provide practical solutions for site-related technical issues.
  • Progress Monitoring:
    Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting accomplishments, delays, and corrective actions.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    Enforce safety standards on site, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure all work activities comply with HSE requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Liaise with consultants, clients, and project managers to ensure alignment on scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Cost & Resource Control:
    Support the project team in quantity take-offs, cost control, and minimizing wastage of materials.
  • Leadership & Mentoring:
    Supervise junior engineers and site supervisors, providing technical guidance and ensuring team performance meets project goals.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in industrial plant construction (such as steel, cement, or manufacturing facilities).
  • Strong technical knowledge of foundations, structural works, equipment foundations, and industrial infrastructure.
  • Experienced in coordination between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines during project execution.
  • Proficient in reviewing structural and architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Skilled in project planning, site supervision, and resource management to ensure on-time and quality delivery.
  • Good command of AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and other construction management tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HSE standards and proven record of enforcing safety compliance at site.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Results-oriented professional with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging industrial environments.
