Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site activities submitted for inspection have approved shop drawings, Method Statements (MS), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Conduct site inspections in accordance with approved ITPs and intervention points and process Inspection & Test Requests (ITRs).
- Record inspection results, close out ITRs, and verify that all outstanding items are resolved in compliance with approved QCPs.
- Coordinate with Independent Testing Laboratories (ITL) to verify that all test results meet project specifications and contract requirements.
- Monitor civil and structural works to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, and good construction practices.
- Verify that only approved materials, in line with Material Approval Requests (MARs), are used on site.
- Supervise concrete works, including material delivery, pouring, curing, and testing in compliance with QA/QC requirements.
- Inspect formwork and shuttering systems to ensure quality, safety, and constructability standards are met.
- Identify, report, and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and notify the Construction Manager and QA/QC team accordingly.
- Support project progress and closeout activities, including reporting delays, reviewing as-built drawings, and participating in contractor closeout reviews.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BSc or higher).
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in civil/structural site inspection and construction supervision on similar projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in concrete works, formwork/shuttering systems, and structural construction activities.
- Solid knowledge of QA/QC procedures, including ITPs, ITRs, NCRs, and material approvals (MAR).
- Proven ability to interpret and review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submittals.
- Experience working on large-scale projects within consultancy, PMC, or supervision environments is preferred.
