Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Missions/Main Duties

  • Lead and supervise civil works packages for stations and depots from design phase to construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Manage interfaces between civil works, MEP, track, and other disciplines.
  • Liaise with designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure design solutions are constructible, safe, and compliant with UAE regulations and international standards.
  • Review and approve design submissions, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
  • Oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with contract documents, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and approve completed works.
  • Implement effective change control processes.
  • Coordinate with client representatives, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate progress meetings, handle reporting, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed and statutory requirements are met.
  • Implement quality control systems and procedures; lead safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, variation orders, and close-out reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation and handover of stations and depots.

Profile/Skills

Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Background:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in civil works management on major rail/metro/high-speed rail projects, preferably in stations and depots.
  • Strong knowledge of international and UAE building codes, railway standards, and contract management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment and deliver results under demanding timelines.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract forms.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Strong technical understanding of station and depot construction.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in English.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract forms.
