Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in the planning and implementation of instructional activities, helping to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with their academic and social development, providing tailored assistance based on individual needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher to help inform instruction and intervention strategies.
  • Prepare educational materials and resources that enhance learning and engagement in the classroom.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Participate in school activities and events, promoting a sense of community and connection among students, families, and staff.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to improve skills and effectiveness as an educator.

Desired Candidate Profile

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s degree in education or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting young learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a cohesive and effective educational experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to adapt to changing classroom dynamics.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and learning opportunities.
