Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on optimizing clinical workflows, enhancing EMR adoption, and bridging the gap between clinicians and technology across hospital and outpatient environments.

The role includes:

  • Leading clinical informatics operations and EMR optimization (InterSystems TrakCare preferred)

  • Partnering closely with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, and allied health teams

  • Driving clinical workflow improvement, analytics, training, and change management

  • Managing and developing a growing informatics team across multiple facilities

  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives that directly improve patient care and operational efficiency

  • Supports system enhancements, upgrades, adhocs and patch fixes in coordination with Intersystems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Nursing, Medicine, IT, or related field (required)

  • Master's degree (preferred)

  • CPHIMS, PMP, or EMR vendor certifications (preferred)

  • Clinical licensure (RN, MD, allied health) is a distinct advantage

Experience

  • 7+ years in healthcare IT / clinical informatics; 2+ years in a supervisory or management role

  • Hands-on experience with Hakeem (InterSystems TrakCare), Epic, Cerner, or equivalent EMR/EHR

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows — medical, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, lab, allied health

  • Experience in clinical content development, EMR implementations, and multi-facility operations

  • Familiarity with CBAHI, MOH, CHI/NPHIES regulations (preferred)
