Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapy for addiction and dual-diagnosis patients

  • Apply evidence-based approaches such as:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

    • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

    • DBT-informed interventions

    • Trauma-informed therapies

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, case discussions, and care planning

  • Contribute to treatment plans, relapse prevention strategies, and discharge planning

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation aligned with best practices

  • Provide culturally sensitive care, including family engagement and psychoeducation where appropriate

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (mandatory)

  • Minimum 2–4 years of post-qualification clinical experience

  • Eligibility for DOH – Abu Dhabi licensure (as per PQR requirements)

  • Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches

  • Ability to work in a structured residential setting

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience in addiction, mental health, inpatient, or residential care settings

  • Arabic language capability

  • Experience working with adult patient population
