Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions with a focus on real-time data ingestion and processing. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Python programming, with hands-on experience building data pipelines and streaming architectures in cloud environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage real-time data ingestion pipelines using AWS, Azure, and open-source technologies.
- Build and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure to support streaming, transformation, and analytics workloads.
- Develop automation scripts, APIs, and serverless components using Python.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM/Bicep.
- Integrate streaming technologies such as AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Apache Flink for real-time data processing.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement security, governance, and compliance standards across cloud and data environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and efficient data flow.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data ingestion jobs, ensuring system uptime and data integrity.
- Stay current with emerging cloud and data streaming technologies, and recommend innovative solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–6 years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Proven expertise in AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, Redshift) and Azure (e.g., Event Hubs, Data Factory, Synapse, Functions).
- Strong Python skills for scripting, automation, and data pipeline development.
- Experience with real-time or near real-time data ingestion frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming, Kinesis Data Streams).
- Knowledge of data architecture, ETL/ELT workflows, and data lake/data warehouse concepts.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in Linux environments and version control (Git).
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to serverless architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Experience with real-time analytics platforms (e.g., AWS Glue Streaming, Azure Stream Analytics, Flink).
