Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Responsible for sales targets in the assigned sub-segments or geography through up selling strategies, cross selling strategies and new to bank business
  • Maintain good relationships with internal key stakeholders, namely the Regional Managers, Branch Managers, Operations, and Customer Service etc.
  • Provide feedback that will assist in developing specific products for customers
  • Customer Acquisition: Responsible for new-to-bank (NTB) customers/business (own sales efforts as a personal deliverable, local area strategies targeted at a potential customer base, corporate-linked business and generating leads through the sales force etc.)
  • Develop sales campaigns for the team and assign specific sales tasks to each member of the team
  • Identify needs for training programs/refreshers (functional and managerial) for the RMs that will be essential for successful selling and product knowledge
  • Train new staff that join the team

Sales Force Management:

  • Coach the Sales Team in the prescribed Sales Process (typically a 5-step process covering Entry, Diagnosis, Influencing, Closing and Transition) and conduct joint sales meetings with them.
  • Develop and implement personal action plan for them to grow the business and ensure retention of clients and their business
  • Goal Setting and Performance Management of the individual staffs ensuring that proper attention is given at the individual level to develop performance
  • Introduce new products and coach them in understanding the USPs, sales pitch and making sales calls for the product(s)

Management:

  • Monitor and review the business directions on an ongoing basis, in line with the department s targets
  • Coach team on latest product, processes (Operational Advices), circular, Knowledge Day releases

Service:

  • Ensure that Sales Officer practice bank Muscat service standards while dealing with customers (in all situations including meetings, calls, transaction processing, query resolution and compliant management etc.)
  • Promptly manage customer service issues and complaints, manage escalations to audit/compliance/customer service/legal

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree

Good knowledge of products, services, operational policies and procedures

Sales orientation.

Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, tact and flexible approach

Knowledge of Banking systems and PC operation
