Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret technical blueprints, CAD models, and work orders to determine machining requirements and optimal tool paths.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring efficient and safe machine operation.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on CNC machinery to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machining processes, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings and programs as needed to optimize production efficiency and part accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and machine logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies in all machining operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and support company goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
3-5 years of proven experience as a CNC machine programmer and operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Experience with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC milling and turning machines.
- Familiarity with various metals, especially aluminum and zinc alloys.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Willingness to work in an on-site, full-time, and long-term role.
