Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop 5-axis CNC programs from reverse-engineered data, ensuring precision and efficiency in complex part geometries.
  • Utilize probing techniques and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to accurately capture and translate physical part dimensions into digital models.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 3D models to create detailed machining plans.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material properties, part geometry, and desired surface finish.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications in CNC programming and operation, such as those from NIMS or AMT.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in 5-axis CNC programming and operation within the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Exhibits in-depth knowledge of various CNC machine control systems, including Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain.
