Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Vertical Lathe Machine Operator to operate precision CNC vertical turning centers used in the manufacturing and armoring of vehicles for overseas projects. The operator will be responsible for machining high-accuracy components such as hubs, discs, suspension parts, and other armored vehicle components according to engineering specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Lathe machines (VTL) for precision machining of heavy and large-diameter vehicle components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining programs to produce parts to exact tolerances.
• Load raw materials, align workpieces, and monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance.
• Adjust tool offsets, cutting speeds, feeds, and parameters as required.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling condition, and daily maintenance checks.
• Identify and report any deviations, tool wear, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet project deadlines and export requirements.
• Follow safety standards and 5S practices in the machining area.
• Maintain documentation for machine settings, inspection reports, and production logs.
• Ensure all operations comply with defense/military quality and safety standards applicable to overseas vehicle armoring projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Machinist Trade.
• 38 years of experience as a CNC Lathe / VTL Operator in automotive, heavy fabrication, or defense manufacturing.
• Experience in machining high-strength steels, alloys, and armored vehicle materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and machining tolerances.
