Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise installation and commissioning of coal-fired power plant equipment.
- Oversee daily operations and performance of a coal power plant.
- Manage plant staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor power generation processes.
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate maintenance.
- Address technical issues.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Desired Candidate Profile
Hands-on experience managing technical teams
Highly experienced in overseeing plant performance, safety, and efficiency
Proven Supervisory Skills and Team Leadership abilities to manage and inspire a diverse workforce effectively
Strong knowledge and experience in Power Generation and Power Plant operations
Expertise in Project Management, with a track record of managing multiple projects and maintaining timelines
Ability to coordinate and implement health, safety, and environmental standards
Analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges efficiently
Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field (preferred)
10+ years of professional experience in the energy or power generation industry, with at least 5 years in management roles
Willingness to work in a full-time, on-site capacity in Amman, Jordan, including readiness to relocate if currently based elsewhere.
