In this role you will work as part of our marine engineering team based in Dubai (or Abu Dhabi).

What Youll Be Doing

• Design of coastal protection structures such as revetments and breakwaters
• Design of beaches including groynes
• Design of scour protection
• Design of seawater intake/outfall structures
• Design of marinas, navigational channels
• Design of man-made islands, dredging and reclamation
• Prepare specifications and manage bathymetric surveys
• Inspect and assess the condition of existing coastal structures
• Participate in the preparation of specifications for marine geotechnical investigations
• Oversee our sub-consultants use of advanced hydrodynamic modeling software such as the Mike21 suite of programs
• Ensures compliance of marine and coastal design with all applicable codes and regulations
• Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies
• Prepare technical papers, reports, drawings, specifications, and presentations
  
  
  

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Minimum of a bachelor s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related work experience in coastal engineering.
• Must have excellent English written and oral communications skills, and familiarity with industry practices and regulation
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of current marine and coastal engineering design standards and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on projects.
• Hands on experience preparing marine and coastal engineering design documents such as reports, drawings and technical specifications.
• UAE and/or GCC experience is an advantage
