span>The Coating QC Inspector Offshore is responsible for inspecting and ensuring the proper surface preparation, application, and curing of protective coatings (paint, insulation, fireproofing, etc.) on offshore structures. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, and safety regulations under offshore conditions.br> br>Key Responsibilities:br>Inspect surface preparation and coating application activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE, ISO).br>Verify environmental conditions (humidity, dew point, temperature) before and during coating operations.br>Conduct visual inspections, DFT (Dry Film Thickness) checks, WFT (Wet Film Thickness), holiday testing, adhesion testing, and other coating quality tests.br>Review and verify coating materials, batch numbers, and certificates of compliance.br>Monitor and document the blasting and painting process, including abrasive type, cleanliness level (e.g., SSPC-SP10), and coating systems applied.br>Ensure proper curing time and overcoat intervals are observed and documented.br>Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any deviations and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.br> br>Qualifications & Skills:br>Diploma in Mechanical / Materials Engineering or equivalent technical field.br>3 7 years of experience in coating inspection, with at least 2 years offshore preferred.br>Certification in coatings inspection (e.g., NACE Coating Inspector Level 1, 2 or 3, or BGAS Grade 2 or 3) mandatory.br>Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation standards, inspection methods, and test equipment.br>Ability to interpret coating specifications and project documents.br>Good understanding of offshore safety regulations and procedures./span>
